The Gold Cross of America is a full service Membership Organization founded for the purpose of providing educational materials to homeowners that are in jeopardy of losing their homes to foreclosure. The Gold Cross works to save single family residences from foreclosure by assisting homeowners with much needed educational materials and financial assistance in their time of greatest need: when they are facing the loss of their homes.

The Organization was founded in 1983 as an educational not for profit 501-C-3 corporation. It was originally organized as a New York Corporation called Listen, Inc., that specialized in providing substance abuse prevention materials to the business community, schools and homeowners. It was re-organized in 2006 to have a broader scope, in that the corporation would provide life-saving, home saving materials and funds to hurting families that are facing the loss of their homes to foreclosure. Dr. Thomas Walters, the founder is an accomplished minister, author and educator. His accomplishments include teaching at major universities including Montemorelos University (Nuevo Leon, Mexico), Ohio University, (Athens, Ohio) and Indiana University of South Bend (South Bend, Indiana).
